| Paul Connell - Tue, 18 Sep 2012 |
| Hi Guys, Some of you may remember me I think the last convention I was with you was in the Gold Coast. Just received an email out of the blue and it brought back some great memories, it great to see you are still getting out there. My life has become very full as I now have three children the last two being identical twin girls now age two and they are lovely but a handful. At this moment they are sounding like they are doing something very worrying behind me, all apart of the life with twins. Also my son Nathaniel is now 8 years old and is growing into a fine young fellow. Anyway just thought I'd drop a line as you all do come to mind from time to time and it was great trip down memory lane once I checked out the website. All the best to you and if I can escape the kids one night I might drop into a reheasal. Cheers Paul Connell (The man who forgot his wife....) |

I don't now if I could fit in a group of singers but I would like to have the oportunity to tray. My repertoire if Opera arias, Italian, Inglish and Spanish songs, What can I do? |

Good uplifting, decent, fun and honest performances by a group of men who clearly love what they are doing. We have now added you to our list as when several of our clients have booked their accommodation in Sydney they have asked if we knew anything of your group. We now refer them direct to your site. Your site is interesting and inspirational. I was unaware that such an enthusiastic and professional organisation existed in Sydney. Altough I am not sure if I am good enough a singer to ever be a member, I do enjoy singing and listening to good harmony and I will definitely make an effort to come and visit a rehearsal and perhaps a performance.

Dear Sydney Harmony, I attended the McDonalds Performing Arts Challenge last night. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and left feeling extremely entertained. I would like to say that I thought you guys rocked! You were fab! Congratulations on your achievement. I am looking forward to seeing you perform again at Town Hall on Sunday. I only hope that you will be wearing the extremely large yellow pairs of glasses like those in your photograph! Well done : ) |

For what it's worth, here's my comment: Jim was the first MD that I came across. I had never sung after school and I was aged 52. Encouraged by The Lovely Janet, I went along to Shannon Express in 1992, was met by my (since then) very good friend Trevor Harpham and joined rehearsal just as Jim was opening the first chord of 'Love Letters.' I was a gone from then on and loved Jim to bits. He taught me so much and opened a whole new world for me. And with what result? How about membership for seven years with Shannon Express and 2 UK Gold Medals, followed by membership of The Cambridge Chord Company with more 2 UK Gold Medals, the European Championship and the Millenium Championship, culminating in the Llangollen Eistedfodd 'Choir of the World' title, with several Sainsbury 'Choir of the Year' appearances, 5 sings at the Royal Albert Hall, an appearance at The Barbican, numerous TV appearances and around 200+ singouts. Why mention all all this? Well, because Jim was the inspiration, despite him being an obnoxious little bleeder from time to time. Many thanks, Jim. You changed my life. Bob Thornton |

Great to catch up, hear you all sing again and see the pictures of my great friends at SH. There are fond memories of times past when you all helped me when looking to relocate here to Adelaide South Australia. I am now working full time and hope to get permanent residency this year. Keep on singing and best of luck in 2005. Bill Schwenker, former member 2003 |

| Just wanted to say, I went home on a real buzz yesterday afternoon after the concert with Balmain Sinfonia at Newington (still buzzing tonight). The Tannhauser was just fantastic the way the voices simply floated over the orchestra. A capella songs were as ever enjoyable, and the orchestra also performed a demanding repertoire starting with my favourite Sibelius. A real fun afternoon and I hope Balmain and SH have more collaborations in mind – it was a real success! |

| To the Chorus and FREEFALL,
What a wonderful result for 2003. Silver and Gold.
Cleva fellas eh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bonza.
My thoughts were with you all as I awoke on Friday and Saturday, and I sent a silent prayer to you all.
Well, one of them turned up Gold, I'll have to work on the one that turned out Silver and make it Gold next time.
Dickie Kahn, I was with your Mother -in-law Billie and Bertie her sister last Saturday afternoon awaiting the results and we were all very excited.
Regards

| Sam, Guy, Tony and Jim,
You little rippers! You did it! No wonder I couldn't get through to anyone in Perth. You deserve it. You're wonderful, and now the world knows how wonderful you are. Does this mean the Basement ticket prices will go up?
Well done, I think I'll go have a glass of champus and a cry, and get ready for the chorus results.

| To all Sydney Harmony members that attended the weekend workshop at Namaroo, This is just a quick note of appreciation for not only your valued input regarding barber shop singing but for the support and fellowship that went in hand with the challenges that it presented to myself as a very new tenor/barbershopper, I considered myself to be more than interested prior to the weekend but after meeting you guys I am hooked ,please keep up what you all do so well and once again many thanks, I look forward to meeting and singing again with you in the future. | My uncle, Peter Warren, is a SH member & he invited my wife, Heather & I along to your performance at the City Recital Hall last Sat. night. We both had a great night & had never heard SH before. You are a fantastic group of singers and deserve every accolade that you receive. Was a little disappointed with Blues Point group. Thought they went on a bit too long. Would have preferred to hear more SH items. The young girls from the Australian Girls Choir were terrific too. Great venue too !!! Keep up the good work (& hope you win the gold at next Aussie champs). |
| Roslyn Farrar - Mon, 8 Apr 2002 |
| My Dad has been a member of SH for quite a few years now and i have seen you go from good to great to fabulous! Your dedication to unit sound is outstanding, your song choice is interesting and diverse and your voices ring beautifully. Ive never seen you perform so well! The concert was great but i would have liked to see less of the ring-ins and more of you! The clear winners on Saturday night were you and Freefall. A definate low point of the concert was the indulgent Blues Point. Not only did they sing double the amount of songs designated in the program we then had to prise our eyes open for an encore that we hadn't (and wouldn't have!) asked for! I don't know about you but if i was paying someone to perform i would expect professionalism and someone reading the words on stage looks very amateur - that goes for his comparing too! Lets just say they were not a patch on last years Idea of North! Soul Sista had great voices but perhaps needed a few drinks to liven them up and the girls choir.. well a bit out of place but a nice contrast to you. Despite all of these factors i had a really great night. The Venue is a winner and you brought the house down! Congradulations!! |

| Am very much amazed and very much impressed of the Sydney Harmony as a whole: the various talents the members have, the beautiful voices the singers have (i heard the video clips); your repertoirs, your talented, famous and great great conductor,Jim (I´ve read about him too here), the shows and competitions you have had, etc. etc. All these are really great!! It would have been a great pleasure to be member of this group! BRAVO TO ALL! Well, I myself sing in one of the famous Hans-Sachs-Choir in Nuernberg and we give 2 big concerts a year in the Meistersinger-Hall. Our choir is consisting of young and young at heart men and women who all sing just for fun. We normally sing classical music. Our choir needs more tenors and it´s rare somehow to get them in our group. Ok, I wish you all a very good start in the New Year 2002 and MORE POWER TO YOU ALL!! |
